She was married to Alfred Waller Boyd Oct 19, 1893 and came with him to Oklahoma in 1900 when he and SE Clarkson, Mrs Boyd's brother, and the late WH Vick organized the hardware company. Prior to his death in 1930, Boyd twice was president of the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and was prominent in civic and social circles.

Born Annie Preston Clarkson in Annapolis, Mo Jan 31, 1871, Mrs Boyd attended school in St Louis then moved to Fort Smith where she met Boyd. At one time she and her husband were members of the Oklahoma Club and the Oklahoma Golf and Country club. Mrs Boyd was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs Boyd's survivors include two daughters, Mrs Norman E Reynolds, 608 NW 42nd and Mrs Carl S Dalbey 316 NE 8th; a brother SE Clarkson 1000 NW 20th; three grandchildren, Norman Reynolds Jr 608 NW 42nd; Mrs Raymond Lockney, 1208 Jefferson; and Emma Leah Dalbey, 316 NE 8th, and two great-grandchildren.

Dr Ward Davis, associate pastor, First Presbyterian church, will officiate at services to be held in Street and Draper funeral home at a time to be announced later. The family asks no flowers be sent and suggests a contribution to the Baptist orphanage, the American Legion Welfare department or the state welfare department would be a fitting memorial.
