Obituary of Dollie Burton Swanda


Dollie H Swanda Funeral Services Conducted Here

Funeral services for Dollie H Swanda, 90, were conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 30, 1996 in the Oak Street Church of Christ with Roy Young, pastor, officiating and assisted by the Rev Lee Hughes, pastor of the First Christian Church. Mrs Swanda died July 27, 1996 in Lawton. She was born November 11, 1905 in Willis, Indian Territory and married Lewis Swanda in Carnegie on September 7, 1924. Mrs Swanda was a member of the Happy Workers Club, Spring Valley Club, and the Baptist Church in Velma. She is survived by her husband, Lewis of the home; two sons, Danny and Mary Joyce Swanda of Apache and ron Swanda of Oklahoma City; three daughers, Linda and Jag Sodhi, Lanya Swanda and Lanita and Mike Graham, all of Apache; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mae Clark of Ada, Nettie Erman of Carnegie, and Mary Lou Milligan of Norman, and one brother, Buster Burton of Norman. Serving as pallbearers were Kent Swanda, Dayne Swanda, Rob Swanda, Len Orrell, Josh Graham and Thomas Sodhi. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
