IS Garrett 47-Year State Resident, Dies
I S Garrett 87, of 4409 Classen, died at 1:30 am Saturday in McBride Bone and Joint hospital. His death was attributed to a hip fracture suffered in a fall at his home Thursday morning. Born in Belleville, Ill, Garrett came to Kingfisher in 1900 and moved to Oklahoma City about 21 years ago. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows and Woodmen of the World. A member of the Christian church, Garrett is survived by his son, Otis Garrett, 415 NE 15th, a daughter, Mrs Edna Merithew, Norwich, NY and one sister, Mrs Myrtle Smith of Ardmore. Funeral services have been tentatively set for 2 pm Tuesday in Smith and Kernke funeral home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
