Family Stories

Who is the site-coordinator?

Greetings! I am delighted to have you visit our family history website. My name is Pamela Sue Hutchison Garrett and I have been researching family history for more than thirty years now. My passion for family history began when my mother shared with me some family letters and papers that had belonged to my grandfather, Albert Luther Clarkson.

My mother, Blanche Aubin Clarkson Hutchison, has been my faithful research partner, and much of the information available on this website is the result of her efforts. Together, we have pursued numerous branches of our family. To this point, we have researched most extensively on Clarkson, Fry, Hutchins, Markham, Rowland, Grant, and Nichols. But, there are at least fifty other family branches that we have looked into.

My father, Robert Hutchison, has also joined the pursuit. He has spurred our study of the Hutchison, Wilson, Tanner, Smith, and Jones families. Hopefully, my paternal famiy lines will be entering the website database in the Fall of 2012.

I have also worked on several branches of my husbandís family, including Garrett, Hancock, Hoffman, Biesemeier, Svejkovsky, and Swanda. This research has been greatly aided by my mother-in-law, Aline Svejkovsky Garrett. The Hoffman and Biesemeier families were represented on a website I created in 2005, titled Looking Back. That site is no longer available, but I hope to bring the information to this website database in the Spring of 2013.

So far, the younger generations of my family have shown only a nominal interest in family history. They do this because they are gracious enough to encourage their mother or mother-in-law. But, I trust that someday, a child or grandchild will enjoy these wonderful stories of our ancestors as much as I have. I will be forever grateful to the family historians who shared these stories with me.

I have lived my entire life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and I donít regret it. At present (2012), my family is made up of one faithful husband, three beloved children, two delightful sons-in-law, and five of the cutest little grandchildren around. (I know - all grandmothers say that!) I have been blessed, and I am daily thankful to God who has shown such grace and compassion to me.

My richest blessing has been my family, both near and extended. It is a privilege to share our common story,

Pamela Hutchison Garrett
