Obituary of Sarah Edmonston Robinson


IRONDALE: On Sunday morning November 18, 1909, of pneumonia, Mrs Robinson, widow of Preston Robinson, deceased. Funeral services were conducted Monday at the M. E. Church South, by Rev Wrinkle of Carondelet, after which the body was interred in the Hopewell Cemetery. The deceased was 78 years of age and is survived by five daughters, all of whom were present at the funeral with the exception of Mrs Clarkson of Ft Smith, Arkansas who did not arrive in time. She was a member of the M. E. Church and was converted at the age of 16 years and only a short time before her death spoke of the sweet communion she experienced with her Lord.

DIED: Mrs Sarah N Robinson relict of the late P. M. Robinson died at the family residence in Irondale, Mo on Thursday, November 18, 1909, aged 78 years and 10 months. Mrs Robinson was born in Illinois but was reared in Reynolds co, Missouri. She was married to P. M. Robinson on November 2, 1846 and to them five daughters were born, all of whom are living. She was an exemplary member of the M. E. Church South at Irondale. The funeral services were conducted by Rev E. J. Rinkle of DeSoto. The remains were laid to rest to await the resurrection by the side of her husband in the beautiful Hopewell Cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs. Wm. Martin, Wiley O'Neal, A. Uhlman, J. B. Robinson, . . . Royer [Boyer] and . . . Woolford.
