Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Dalbey Lockney

Elizabeth "Anne" Lockney; 24 January 1920 to 6 June 2010.

Anne Lockney died June 6, 2010. Elizabeth Anne Dalbey was born to Carl and Henrietta Boyd Dalbey on January 24, 1920 in Oklahoma City.

Anne graduated from Classen High School and Oklahoma A&M. She was married to Raymond Lockney from April 12, 1941 until his death in 1982. They had two children, Ron and Melanie.

A former school teacher and longtime dog enthusiast, Anne, with Ray, started Anne's Country Club for Pets in 1972. As an ardent miniature schnauzer breeder, Anne created the noted Ruedesheim line, placing dogs around the world. Whether for the show ring or as household pets, Anne's dogs were always in demand.

Anne was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Early American Glass Club ann longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, serving as both Deacon and Elder.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anne was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Dalbey Jr; and sister, Emma Leah McCullough. Anne is survived by her son Ron Lockney and wife Ann; daughter Melanie Blackburn and husband Jerry; grandchildren: Blake Lockney, Aaron Lockney and wife Rebecca, Jade Little and husband Mike, Joseph Blackburn; and six great-grandchildren.

Anne's favorite charities were Dog Ears, Companion Dogs for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and the Presbyterian Urban Mission.
