  • Notes
    • Frances Gordon "Fannie" Fry was born about 1874 in Point Clear, Baldwin county Alabama, daughter of Thomas S Fry and Mary Shorter. She is noted as an alumnae of the Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1898, when she was about twenty-four years of age, she married George R Vaughan, a widower with two sons. The Vaughan family appears in the 1900 and 1910 census of Mobile, Alabama. There is no suggestion that Fannie Fry Vaughan had children of her own. By 1930 Fannie Fry Vaughan, age fifty-four, was a widow, living with her two younger sisters.
