      Frank Swanda Sr Dies at Age of 79
      Frank Swanda Sr, 79, of 1923 Huntington, died Wednesday at a city extended care facility. Services will be at 10 am Friday at Hahn-Cook, Street and Draper Funeral Home with burial in Fairlawn Cemetery. Swanda, born in Omaha Nebraska, came to Oklahoma City in 1901. He was a partner in the Swanda Bros Inc. from 1917 until his retirement in 1968. He was a director and past president of the American Savings and Loan Association for 35 years. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Golf Association and a lifetime member of the Elks. He was a member of St Luke's United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Helyn Brown, of the home, a son, Frank G 2708 Elmhurst; two sisters, Mrs AB Soper, 5310 N Shartel, and Mrs John Peschl, 431 NW 47, and two brothers, George, Oklahoma City and Henry, Los Angeles.
